Six Steinway pianos are scattered through the rooms and halls - including a hundred-year-old Steinway in the Music Room. Music plays nightly in Studio Hall and at The Cannon Club; private concerts fill the Music Room; and the house stays closely connected to the young musicians of Puerto Rico. Music is part of what makes Puerto Rico so special - and it's woven into the fabric of The Gallery Inn.

Studio Hall
The house's nightly music room, and the easiest to fall into. A small, hidden space - just off the lobby, or in through the Calle San Sebastián entrance - where a piano plays every night and duos and trios trade tunes. Quaint, candlelit, and romantic, with food and drinks at hand: come for one song and stay for the evening.

The Cannon Club
The Cannon Club is where the house plays after dark - romantic, colorful, and alive, a supper club where a grand piano fills a candlelit, red-velvet room with live music every night, off the Inn or straight from Calle San Sebastián. Around the music: innovative cocktails built on fresh Caribbean flavors, food worth staying for, and - above the lush gardens and the sculpture pool - a quieter terrace for evenings under the stars. Up at the front of the house
Nico Bar
Up at the front of the hotel, Nico Bar opens to Norzagaray Street, La Perla, and the Atlantic - cocktails and food, salsa and old favorites on the speakers, and warm ocean breezes and views. It's the easy, music-filled end to a San Juan night, rather than a stage.

Private concerts · by invitation
The Music Room
A room that feels almost secret. A hundred-year-old Steinway on a beautiful dark-wood floor, chairs and couches drawn close, the courtyard and the ocean through the windows, and acoustics that hush a room. The Music Room hosts private concerts and special events for hotel guests, VIPs, and invited guests - not a nightly public venue, but a place where, often, music fills the old house for those inside it.

Young musicians
A house that lifts up young players
The Gallery Inn serves as one of the main homes to the Puerto Rico Charitable Trust for the Education of Young Musicians, which helps local and visiting artists build a life in music. The same rooms that welcome world-renowned players - Yo-Yo Ma among them - give the island's young musicians a place to learn, develop, record, and perform.
